The collaboration with Pennsylvania State University (PennState) in the U.S. and The Hong Kong

Polytechnic University (HK PolyU) has enabled DTU to achieve UNWTO.TedQual accreditation

This international accreditation is the same one chosen by Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong PolyU), ranked the number one university worldwide for Tourism & Hospitality on numerous ranking lists, to accredit its own programs. It was Hong Kong Polytechnic University that provided direct consultation to and helped DTU achieve this accreditation. UNWTO.TedQual is often regarded as the “AACSB of Tourism.”

For many years, DTU Tourism students have been able to "enjoy" high-quality education in this field, as most of the programs are "imported" from Pennsylvania State University, one of the top 50 schools for Business and Management in the U.S. (according to U.S. News 2023) and one of the top 5 schools for Tourism in the world (according to UNWTO). These programs include:

-    PSU-standard Hotel Tourism,
-    PSU-standard Travel Tourism, and
-    PSU-standard Restaurant Management.
