Today, Nursing is one of the most important careers worldwide, particularly in the USA, Japan, Canada, and Germany and so on, as demand for health care specialists is growing. Nursing is considered to be an independent profession in the medical system, supporting doctors, pharmacists, technicians and others and provide a variety of health-care services.
Duration
- From a Vocational High School to a Bachelor’s degree: 2.5 - 3 years
- From Associate degree to Bachelor: 1.5 – 2 years
Training program
The training program includes two programs:
- The linking program from a Vocational High School to a Bachelor’s degree, with 101 credits
- The linking program from an Associate degree to a Bachelor’s degree, with 68 credits
DTU has already graduated five courses, four courses in the Vocational High School and one Associate degree program

Working skills
- Work according to government laws, policies and ethics; refine nursing procedures whilst caring for patients
- Ensure full, safe and stable health-care; take qualified risks; use medication wisely, as directed by a doctor
- Consult with and educate patients and the community on health-care issues; propose appropriate treatment in coordination with co-workers
- Conduct research at training institutes
Career prospects
Graduates work as:
- Nursing in hospitals, medical centers, clinics and health-care facilities
- Chief Nurses, managing health-care and helping formulate policies related to treatment
- Lecturers, directly teaching and studying at medical and educational centers
- Health workers, working independently or partnering with hospitals, nursing schools, medical centers, local clinics and private medical centers
