DTU presently offers six Doctoral Degree programs, in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Construction, Civil Engineering and Finance-Banking.
DTU admits only highly-qualified research students and offers them a comprehensive, international training program. They complete six courses (three compulsory and three selective), prepare a general report, complete three doctoral research projects and write a thesis. Ph.D. candidates will be supervised by at least two professors from American universities and DTU faculty.
They must have published at least one paper related to their proposed area of research in a scientific journal (SSCI or ISI-indexed journal) besides presenting research at an international conference. They will also teach undergraduate and graduate courses and present their latest research at national and international conferences.
Admission into a PhD program requires a good Master’s degree in a relevant discipline. The program requires research student at least three years of full-time study. In the case the they cannot study full time, they must study and research for a total time of four years including at least twelve months full time at the university to realize research projects.
Graduates are able to:
- Approach latest knowledge in specialized area
- Be able to detect and resolve problems in their respective fields
- Be able to work independently and in team
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
The graduate programs at DTU admit students twice a year, in July and December
