The DTU e-learning Civil and Industrial Construction program applies the most advanced e-learning technology available anywhere in the world. The program is aimed at providing society with many construction engineers, making a significant contribution to the construction of large-scale and highly esthetic works for living and for production.
Duration
Students who complete a general secondary education will need from 3.5 to 4 years to finish the program but those with a Higher Vocational diploma will only need 3. Students who already have a university diploma will be only need 2 to 2.5 years.

The concept of the DTU eUniversity programs is to provide rich and varied curricula, combining printed documentation (syllabi), sound recordings (lectures recorded in mp3/mp4), and visual materials (filmed lectures). At the same time, web-based virtual classrooms create an environment where lecturers and students can easily interact anytime, anywhere. In addition, the DTU 3D Second Life virtual reality game allows students to organize real-time activities, discussions and exercises online. Students interact with their peers throughout the course and can contact their lecturers by phone or through the study website and receive a response within 24 hours.
Working skills
The Civil and Industrial Construction course teaches how to conduct experiments to analyze, evaluate and portray construction information and construction design and how to apply theory and practice to identify technical solutions to problems, according to economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, society, politics, health and safety standards.
Career prospects
Graduates will work in design and supervisory consultancy companies, construction management companies, government agencies, such the Department of Construction, the Department of Planning & Investment, finance and real estate companies, material suppliers and so on, or become self-employed.
