Admission Process to Study in USA
Application Process
The consulting process often takes six months and includes the following steps:
1. Consultancy to select a university/college (5-6 months prior to US study)
2. Prepare application and have it checked, translated and notarized
3. Submit the application to the university and get back crucial documents (3-4 months prior to submitting)
4. Receive the acceptance letter, I-20
5. Pay for application and visa fees (1,5 months prior to US study)
6. After being granted visa, fill in the dormitory application form, buy tickets, complete the health insurance process.
7. Go to school
Visa Application
Prospective students will go through six steps when applying for a US student visa
Step One: Admission application
The admission application consists of:
· Application form (issued by American universities)
· Latest academic transcripts
· Foreign language highest certificate
· Pay admission fee
Step Two: Fill out the SEVIS form
Step Three: Pay the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee.
Step Four: Prepare for visa application.
The visa application requirements include:
1. A passport valid for travel to the United States with a validity date at least six months beyond tha applicant’s intended period of stay in the United States
2. A color photograph (taken within the last six months)
3. Visa interview schedule
4. DS-160 confirmation page
5. Visa application fee payment receipt
6. SEVIS fee payment receipt
7. I-20
. 8. School Acceptance Letter
9. Financial forms and Bank statement
10. Highest certificate or diploma, study records and the latest academic transcripts
11. Scores from US standardized tests
12. Working Confirmation (if any)
Step Five: Schedule a visa interview
Step Six : Attend a visa interview
