Educational objectives
The programs provide an in-depth education and soft skills development. Their objective is to enable postgraduates to conduct independent research to prepare themselves for work at universities and research institutes, to approach new issues in their field scientifically, and present and discuss their findings proficiently in English.
Curriculum
The DTU Master’s degree programs are based on programs from reputable universities in Vietnam and abroad, particularly from Carnegie Mellon University, leaders in IT education in America, Penn State University and Seattle University, in Management and Hospitality, and California State University at Fullerton and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, in Architecture and Construction. The advanced DTU programs are constantly updated to offer all the latest international information and developments.

In addition, students study mostly in English and, at the same time, engage in extracurricular activities, with the assistance of knowledgeable lecturers from Vietnam and overseas. They study at least four or five subjects taught directly by American professors and receive course completion certificates from the partner university on graduation. English language training has recently been increased to nine credits compared to six at other universities, to make it easier to study highly-specialized research documentation.
Students usually enjoy extracurricular activities most, as they provide invaluable practical experience, including visits to local businesses, field trips, charity events and exchanges with foreign students. The DTU education strategy has always been to provide a professional and dynamic study environment, in order to graduate exceptional professionals who can work together to meet the ever-changing local workforce requirements. The trust that is placed in the DTU Postgraduate School is testament to the quality of the unique programs and a further incentive to DTU to continue striving to improve the level of education at the university.
