On September 26, 2024, Da Nang in collaboration with Kisarazu city in Japan held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on human resource exchange between the Kisarazu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and educational institutions, including DTU, the College of Food Technology, and Phuong Dong College. This activity builds on the cooperative relationship established since 2019 between Da Nang and Kisarazu, and this significant event marks a new step forward in international cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
DTU signs partnership agreement with Kisarazu City Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Mr. Shimonishi Kiyoshi, Deputy Consul General of Japan in Da Nang; Mr. Ikeda Yasushi, Chairman of the Kisarazu City Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Ms. Le Thi Thu Hanh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice – Provost; Mr. Do Chi Thinh, Provost of the College of Food Industry; and Mr. Le Ngoc Quy, Provost of Phuong Dong College, along with leaders from various departments and agencies of Da Nang and Kisarazu attended.
The MoU between the Kisarazu City Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the College of Food Industry and Phuong Dong College aims to promote human resource exchange projects between Kisarazu and Da Nang. It creates employment opportunities and enhances the skills of Vietnamese students who want to work in Japan. In her remarks at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hanh emphasized that this meaningful and practical activity was part of a series of events commemorating the 5th anniversary of the partnership between Kisarazu and Da Nang.

Chairman of the Kisarazu City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Ikeda Yasushi affirmed that the event not only focused on signing the human resource exchange agreement but also paved the way for cultural exchange and economic development between the two cities. He expressed his desire to continue partnering with Da Nang in other potential areas, contributing to socio-economic development through high-quality human resource training and exchange projects.
The collaboration between DTU and other educational institutions with the Kisarazu City Chamber of Commerce and Industry has created valuable opportunities for students to enhance their skills, particularly by providing access to Japan’s work environment, a market with a high demand for skilled labor.
