In recent years, the Government’s policy of socialization in education has made some changes in education domestically. Many universities and colleges have been established. Not all of them have been able to earn the trust of society as a whole, though. With its long history of development and continuous expansion of training, Duy Tan University can be proud to be one of the very few universities to enjoy people’s trust.
With the tremendous efforts in education and training it put in since its establishment in 1994, Duy Tan University has built up for itself a brand name which parents, students, the business community, the authorities, and overseas partners can trust.
With its teaching method basing on practical experience, Duy Tan University enjoys the trust of the business community. A convincing testament to this is the nearly 95% employment rate for graduates within six months, with graduates in IT, Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Sciences, and Food Technology achieving 100% employment upon graduation.
Besides, Duy Tan University also enjoys the trust of the Ministry of Education & Training through their approval to expand enrollment year by year. Of note, since 2009–2010, Duy Tan University has been licensed to offer postgraduate degrees for Business Administration, IT, and Accounting - one of very few private universities offering such programs. This proves that the Duy Tan brand name has steadily confirmed its reputation in the national education system. Duy Tan University was even prouder when the Ministry of Education & Training honored it with Emulation Flags for three consecutive years (2010–2012) and the Prime Minister with Emulation Flags for two consecutive years (2010–2011) for the outstanding and comprehensive fulfillment of its tasks — putting the university in the front of the patriotic emulation movement in education & training. These accomplishments followed other prestigious recognitions that Duy Tan University has received, such as the Vietnamese Brand Gold Cup in 2005, certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education & Training in 2005, 2006, and 2007, and from the Danang city People’s Committee. Most notably, on February 10, 2010, Duy Tan University was awarded the third-class Labor Order by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for its outstanding achievements in education & training from 2004 to 2009 and for contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the fatherland.
On behalf of the president, Deputy Minister of Education & Training Bui Van Ga presented the title of Distinguished Teacher to Mr Le Cong Co, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and acting Provost of Duy Tan University. This prestigious title affirms Mr Le Cong Co’s contributions to Vietnamese education.
Along with the many Emulation Flags the university received from the Ministry of Education & Training from 2010 to 2019 and from the government from 2013 to 2019, Duy Tan University was honored with the first-class Labor Order on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, and its Provost Dr Le Nguyen Bao was awarded third-class Labor Order for his outstanding achievements in education & training. These accomplishments are the result of the visionary leadership of the university’s Board of Provosts and the tireless efforts of all staff and lecturers to cultivate new generations of well-rounded students for the future.
In the eyes of international partners, Duy Tan University has always been a trusted partner. In recent years, many prestigious universities worldwide have chosen Duy Tan University as their partner in Vietnam, such as Pennsylvania State University (PSU), California State University (CSU) Fullerton, and Singapore Polytechnic. Most notably, Carnegie Mellon University (one of the four strongest universities in informatics in the US) has selected Duy Tan University as its partner in Vietnam for training bachelor’s programs in Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, and IT. Most recently, Samsung signed a collaboration agreement with Duy Tan University to launch the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), a global information & communication technology education initiative. The trust of these international partners forms the foundation for Duy Tan University to continue expanding international cooperation in the coming years.
