Management Information Systems is a major focused on design, management, and operation of information systems, data analysis, and connectivity between interested parties in organizations and businesses with information technology experts, and on how to make a business operate effectively and more competitively.

Training program

 

In 2008, DTU started a collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University, one of the four strongest universities in information technology in the US, to offer a CMU-standard major in Management Information Systems. Students of this high-quality program will study under the guidance of DTU’s highly qualified lecturers, who have been trained directly at Carnegie Mellon University in both expertise and teaching skills. Furthermore, DTU invites renowned professors from Carnegie Mellon University to teach several specialized subjects. Students of this program will have access to the most modern documentation and educational methods in informatics currently available.

 

At the end of the course, students will obtain from 18 to 22 course-completion certificates with international recognition from Carnegie Mellon University. First and second year students can choose to continue studying a Bachelor in IT at Seattle University or a Master in IT at Carnegie Mellon. One can say the collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University has been a great turning point in the training of a high-quality workforce meeting international standards at DTU.
