Contestants in the Optional Costume and Self Instruction Show
The contest is held every two years by the DTU Youth Union. This year attracted a big audience and, in the preliminary round, one hundred contestants entered the Optional Costume and Self Instruction show. The fashionable men and graceful, beautiful women were impressive.

At the end of the preliminary round, thirty-eight individuals moved on to the semi-finals. Costume designer Tam Tran, from Ho Chi Minh City, was in charge of a collection of traditional Ao Dai dresses, combining themes of Danang and DTU, to be worn by the sixteen finalists. They will also participate in a volunteer event at Hang’s Kitchen to raise money for meals for the poor. The Hong Kong Wedding company and the Trang Lee Piaggio Safe Driving School will advise them on make-up and take their photographs in Asia Park, in conjunction with Feeling Tea.
Prizes worth fifty 50 million VND will be awarded and the four winners will sign modeling contracts with Hong Kong Wedding. The finals will be held at the Trung Vuong Theatre on March 20th.
