On the afternoon of October 28, 2024, the final round of the “DTU Student Voice” competition took place in a lively and colorful musical atmosphere at DTU, 3 Quang Trung Street, Da Nang City.
As part of the activities commemorating the DTU’s 30th anniversary (November 11, 1994 – November 11, 2024), the “DTU Student Voice” competition was held exclusively for first-year students from the 30th cohort. This event offered “golden voices” a chance to showcase their musical talents, while also providing an opportunity for students to discover themselves, build confidence, and strengthen their stage presence.
The competition’s final round featured a talented judging panel,
offering diverse perspectives and invaluable feedback to DTU contestants
Nguyen Thi Tuyet, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union at DTU, shared, “Through each round, we’ve witnessed many wonderful performances filled with emotional melodies and the passionate spirit of our new students. From deeply heartfelt ballads to energetic, youthful songs, these moments have been memorable and fill us with pride. I believe each contestant here, whether or not they receive the top award, is already a winner. They’ve overcome themselves to stand on this stage, fully embracing their passion and love for music. That is the true value of this competition.
I wish all the finalists today success in delivering inspiring performances. I also hope all DTU students will have meaningful and memorable years of study and growth at this institution!”
A Full, Colorful Musical Extravaganza for the Audience
After numerous exciting rounds, the Top 8 finalists officially advanced to the final round of the “DTU Student Voice” competition, where they brought their best to impress a knowledgeable and experienced judging panel.
In addition to their vocal talent, contestants showcased their investment
in performance staging, integrating costumes, choreography, and more.
The judging panel this year included a lineup of talented judges: Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tinh Uyen, a vocal music lecturer at the University of Education - University of Da Nang and a Sao Mai (Morning Star) singer; singer Hoang Van Lam, runner-up in the “HTV Television Voice” and “The Hidden Perfection” competitions; and singer Xuan Ly, a music perception lecturer at Duy Tan University, who has won several awards, including First Place in “DTU Age 20 Singing” and the “Be Your Dream” Impression Award in 2017. Together, they offered diverse perspectives and valuable advice to the contestants.
Top Honors Awarded to Deserving Contestants
The audience enjoyed a vibrant musical “feast” with performances across various genres, including ballad, pop, dance, and traditional ballads, all meticulously prepared and delivered by passionate and powerful voices. In addition to showcasing their vocal talents, the contestants displayed their investment in staging with coordinated costumes and choreography.

• 1st Runner-Up: Nguyen Long Phuc – Marketing Management Department
• 2nd Runner-Up: Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen – General Medicine Department
• Most Popular Music Video: Tran Ngoc Giang My – PSU Business Administration Department
• Most Popular Contestant: Nguyen Gia Dat – Digital Marketing Department
