Program objectives
The program is designed to provide students with the latest knowledge and models in finance & banking, the ability to interpret financial issues, and policy planning in finance & accounting. It also prepares students to become leading executives in finance & banking.
With a solid understanding of finance & banking, graduates of this PhD program are equipped to identify issues in the organization and implementation of financial projects, conduct scientific research to help address banking policy and operational issues, and provide consulting services to improve the effectiveness of activities in finance & banking.
Admission requirements
Applicants must hold either a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude or higher or a master’s degree. They must demonstrate research experience through either: a master’s thesis as part of a research-oriented program; authorship of a scientific paper or report related to the intended research field that has been published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal or the proceedings of a specialized scientific conference or workshop within the 36 months preceding the application date; or at least 24 months of work as a lecturer or researcher at an educational institution or a science & technology organization. They must hold a foreign-language proficiency certificate at least at level 4 under Vietnam’s six-level framework by the Ministry of Education & Training.
