Blood Donation Day at DTU

On September 22nd, the DTU Youth Union partnered with the Danang Hospital to donate blood for the sickand to increase student community awareness.The third Blood Donation Day this year was held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Federation.

Students queued early in the morning. Phan Thi Khanh Ly, of the K20 YDH1 class, was donating blood for the fourth time. She said:“Giving blood to save lives is a good deed.This is a great opportunity for us to share our love and responsibility withour community. I now also understand that giving blood is good for our bodies and helps me to keep fit.”

Five hundred units of blood were donated, demonstrating the dedication of the DTU students and staff. The DTU Youth Union will also collaborate with the Danang Youth Union to hold other activities to celebrate the anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Federation, including a Propaganda Competition onHIV/ AIDS and Reproductive Health, an online competition to learn more about the Youth Federation and other events.
