In 2016, the university Union will continue to efficiently organize and implement campaigns initiated by Central Union, Ministry of Education and Training and the university, such as the “Five-Virtue Student” and the “Star of January”. They will continue to mobilize students through the “I Love My Fatherland” movement. They will focus on publicizing and teaching citizen’s rights and duties, respect for the law and how to adapt to a civilized urban lifestyle. They will implement important campaigns, such as “Storming and Volunteering for Socioeconomic Development”, the “Defense of the Fatherland and “Accompanying Young Entrepreneurs”.

Ms. Huynh Thi Phuong Giang approved the resolution of the City Union on its acceptance of the DTU Union Executive Committee for the 2012 - 2017 term. Representing the Board of Provosts of the university, Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co thanked the Danang Youth Union for their timely appointment of additional staff for the university Union and for their advice to the DTU committee: “To become even more efficient, the university Union Executive Committee needs to work hard in 2016. We must accentuate the link between study and research. Whilst we maintain traditional community activities, many new ways must be developed to motivate DTU students to develop their creativity and enthusiasm to the benefit of our community. The conflict in the South China Sea is now a vital issue globally and the Paracel Islands are part of Danang, where we live and study. So the university Union Executive Committee must find ways of instilling patriotism deeply into all of our students.”
