Blood Donation Day at DTU

On June 3rd, the DTU Youth Union partnered with the Danang Hospital to organize the second 2015 blood drive, with a large number of student, lecturer and staff donors.

The event draws a large number of DTU lecturers, staff and students

At this time of the year, most students complete their credits and stay at home to prepare for their examination. Today, however, they have gathered early in the morning to give blood. Over the years, DTU has been a pioneer in holding blood donation days and charitable activities in general.

Doctors take blood from students

This was the second time that Tran Thi Ngoc Duyen, a first year student of Environmental Management, had donated blood. She said: “I like participating in charity activities, especially Blood donation, which helps me improve my responsibility towards the local community and encourages me to study harder to contribute to the development of our country.”

269 units donated could save needy patients’ lives. The blood DTU students and lecturers have given today demonstrates the affection, compassion and responsibility of each of the student and other donors towards needy patients.
