Promoting a spirit of friendliness and volunteerism, DTU students organized a one-week charity project, from June 16th to the 23rd, in the Phu Thuong hamlet of the Hoa Son commune, in the Hoa Vang district of Danang.
DTU students help local residents build a road
Working with local residents, DTU students built a 350 meter concrete road, educated local women in reproductive health, taught children English and Informatics and repaired electrical equipment. The DTU charity team also arranged community music shows and presented 15 gifts to the best, most needy local students.
DTU students award gifts to the poor
Luu Anh Tin said:
“The 2014 Green Summer Campaign was a precious experience in learning about life, how to share and care for the people around us and to enhance our teamwork. We will continue to help more and more people to make their lives happier.”
The campaign was very successful. DTU students continue to undertake many charitable programs to better the lives of needy people wherever they may be.
