On November 20th 2010, a signing ceremony was held between DTU and the Nam Hai Resort at the Quang Trung Campus.

At the ceremony, Mr.John Kenneth Blanco, the General Manager of the Nam Hai Resort, and Dr.Vo Thanh Hai, the DTU Vice-Rector, officially signed a cooperation contract. Under the agreement, DTU will send lecturers to teach English to Nam Hai Resort’s staff and introduce Vietnamese culture to foreign tourists. In return, the Nam Hai Resort will attend DTU conferences and provide opportunities for DTU students to visit do internships or work at the resort.
Mr. John Kenneth Blanco said: “Currently, there are over forty DTU alumni working at the Nam Hai Resort. They are very dynamic and know how to turn theoretical knowledge into reality. We hope that our agreement with DTU will provide even more opportunities for DTU students”.
The Nam Hai Resort, located in Quang Nam Province, is one of the leading resorts in Vietnam. With the area of 31 hectares, Nam Hai has sixty 5-star rooms and forty villas for sale. It was voted “The Best Resort of 2007” by Gazette Travel and was recognized as “The Best Coastal Resort in Asia” by the TTG international media group.
In common with existing partnerships with other companies, such as the Lien Viet Bank, the Work West Company and the DDT Group, this latest one with the Nam Hai Resort shows the reliance of local companies on DTU and the concerns of the DTU Board to widen future job opportunities for graduating students.
