The new school year’s first registration period, from September 3rd to 7th, attracted many new students from the Central Region and nationwide. A former student of Phan Chau Trinh High School in Danang, Ho Quang Minh, applied during first few days of the new school year. “I have an aptitude for drawing and designing, so I was delighted be accepted by Department of Architecture. Before deciding on DTU, I researched DTU and was impressed by the DTU curriculum and the students’ national and international achievements. When I graduate, I hope that I can contribute to the architectural development of Danang”  he said.

Many new students apply to Duy Tan University

In 2013, Duy Tan University has decreased tuition fees for students applying to study in Humanities and Social Science by 50%, in keeping with its philosophy: “Humanitarian Teaching Closely Linked with Practical Knowledge.”  A new student, Tran Thi Nhu Diem, from Luong The Vinh High School, in the Dien Ban District of Quang Nam Province said: “I am happy to hear that Duy Tan University has lowered tuition fees for Humanities and Social Science students. That’s very beneficial for students coming from rural areas. In 2013, Duy Tan University has also opened additional new accommodation for 3,000 students. I look forward to living in a DTU dormitory because it’s economical and safe.”

Mr. Kieu Tien Cong, from Ha Nam Province, brought his son to Duy Tan University at the beginning of the school year. He felt that: “In parents’ hearts, sons and daughters will always be children and need to be protected, even though they may be mature. We heartily agreed with our son’s choice of the Department of Information Technology at Duy Tan University and we are confident that he can handle it. We got to know a little about DTU, but were then pleasantly surprised by the facilities, the enthusiastic teachers and the wonderful learning environment. Now I feel happy and confident that our son can pass the entrance requirements and study at DTU.”

Parents’ expectations and beliefs encourage Duy Tan University to try to stimulate student interest even further. Their most exciting experience over their four years will be that of their first day of study at DTU. We hope that they will study well and participate in activities that will remain an unforgettable time of their lives.
