The International School’s “Got Talent” Show

The first round of the International School’s “Got Talent” show produced by the Youth Union on November 18th, drew many DTU students. The activity was based on the 2012 “Vietnam’s Got Talent” show.

The forty-one performances of singing, dancing, duets, short plays and so on brought in an audience until the last minute. The talent could be seen in the very first acts. Applause, flowers, cheers and drum rolls from the audience encouraged the artists and added to the excitement.

The contest judges

The three judges of the contest were: Mr. Trung Tuyen, the 2010 National Singing Competition, Ms. Mai Anh, the Voice 2012 and Mr. Ha Long, of 2012 Vietnam’s Got Talent. Mr. Pham Trung Tuyen said: “The competition attracted many DTU students and they all well prepared. We have discovered new singing or dancing talent who will become the leading members in DTU Youth Union shows. They will have more time to practice before the Gala of Bands show in Danang in December. About twelve of them will be selected to enter the finals”.

A performance by K17PSUQNH3

Ms. Doan Thi Thuy Tien and Mr. Van Duc Huy from K18 PSU DCD2 shared their experiences after dancing “Dead and Gone”: “Our performance conveyed a message that true friendship will protect you from bad things and bring you back to your loved ones. We were still nervous onstage, although we had practiced for the contest. Anyway, we hope we will reach the finals”.

Only twelve acts will enter the finals. Students can vote for their favorite performance on facebook.com/internationalschool if they want their friends to win in the finals on December 2nd.

Students also signed their names in support program “CQ Lifeboats for the Spratly Islands”, sponsored by the Tuoi Tre newspaper and VNG Company via Facebook. For more information, please go to http://biendong.zing.vn/
