At the end of 2011, Ms. Nguyen Tran My Linh, a student of DTU’s Business Administration Department ,won the titles Miss U-League in Central Vietnam and Miss Talented in the national round of Miss U-League. She was also the winner of the 2012 Danang Most Elegant & Talented Student.

The audience will always remember My Linh’s beauty and her amazing performance in belly dance and other sections of the contest. As a member of the Hoan Vu dancing team, My Linh has participated in many musical shows, so she already had the experience to excel in front of the judges. My Linh is a very bright young woman. Her brain, stature, healthiness and charm persuaded the judges to choose her. “If asked to be a duck or a swan, I would like to be a duck, but with a heart of a swan”, said Ms. My Linh in the final round of the 2012 Elegant & Talented Students’ contest. That is also her viewpoint in life in striving for perfection.

Once you see her photo, you will probably want to see the next one or even meet her in real life, just to see her pleasant smile. Ms. Phan Le Vu Nguyen Tam did not expect to win a prize in the “The Dream Woman Student” competition held by Giao Duc newspaper, as there were 2,271 participants. However, with her charming, gentle beauty and beautiful smile she attracted the highest number of votes and won “The Most Attractive Student” contest.

One of her interests is to go travelling around this country to learn more about Vietnam. Although she is just twenty years old, she is mature for her age and determined to help everyone.  So she decided to donate part of her 20-million prize money to the Quang Chau Pagoda and Hope village to help unprivileged children there.

During the interview, Ms. Thuy My expressed her sincere thanks to DTU’s faculty and students for supporting her in the 2012 Miss Star contest. At DTU, the first and biggest private university in Central Vietnam, students are provided with not only with academic information but also with the “soft skills”, in modern surroundings. “One of my interests is taking photos and keeping them as my diary. The DTU faculty and friends gave me much support during the contest and suggested some new ideas for my photo album. Thanks to them, I was lucky to compete with over 500 participants and end up in the finals”, she said.

The contest helped her improve a lot in her thinking and actions. She has gained more confidence and learned how to behave well to other people especially after the charitable trip to Long An Province. A part of her prize was donated to help unlucky children at the Quang Chau pagoda.

After completing her course in Tourism Management at DTU, she hopes to travel aboard to get higher qualifications. Thuy My is preparing for the new school year and will return to her daily routine of studying at the DTU library, cooking for her family and taking photos. She is open-minded and hopes to have further opportunities to improve herself in the future.

As a first year student at DTU, Ms. Xuan Trang had little experience in musical or beauty contests. So it came as a big surprise when she recently won the 2012 Miss Danang Contest.

It’s not easy to compete in beauty contests, as they require much time and effort. However, Ms. Xuan Trang was always very confident, thanks to the support of DTU faculty members and her friends.

On July 14, Ms. Xuan Trang was announced as the winner of the 2012 Miss Danang Contest and received an invitation to compete in the 2012 Miss Vietnam Pageant in August.

According to the latest news, she was has reached the top 20 in the finals of the 2012 Miss Vietnam contest, to take place in Danang at the end of August.

My Linh, Nguyen Tam, Thuy My and Xuan Trang may get achieve further in other national and international beauty contests in the future. Hopefully, they will maintain the strong image of typical DTU students.
