On June 3, the DTU Department of the Environment coordinated with the Youth Union to hold an event to celebrate World Environment Day and a greener and cleaner Danang. Many students from the Department of Tourism participated in this event.
The event attracts many DTU students
Students participated in the bicycle parade and delivered recycle bags to local people. The tour started from Nguyen Van Lin, to Bach Dang, Quang Trung, Tran Phu, the Han Bridge and ended at Pham Van Dong beach. Songs and Flash Mod dances were performed by DTU students and members of the Blue Ocean Club at Pham Van Dong Park. These activities were part of the campaign to improve awareness of the need to protect the environment.
Miss Le Thi Anh Minh, the Youth Secretary of the DTU Environment Department said “At first, people seemed to be hesitant but soon realized the benefits of using recycle bags instead of nylon bags to help us to protect the environment. Although the hot weather is tiring, we are all very happy to support this important outdoor activity”.
