At the beginning of October, the atmosphere at DTU campus is electric as the entire DTU faculty prepares to welcome new stream of K18 students. Directed by the DTU Board of Provosts, preparations are almost completed and the welcoming ceremony will be held on the 14th of October.
The ceremony will include many exciting features, such as: display booths, musical performances, traditional games and so on. By attending the event, freshmen have an opportunity to meet the DTU faculty, get to know each other and take part in traditional activities. In addition, those with high grades in the university entrance exam will be awarded scholarships by the Board of Provosts. Equipment constructed by the DTU IDEERS and Robocon teams and details of achievements by all sixteen departments will be on display.
The K17 Welcoming Ceremony of 2011-2012
A musical performance entitled “Our Beloved Country and Islands” will give students a chance to enjoy the music and dancing in a warm and friendly environment.
Mr. Duong Dinh Hung, Secretary of the DTU Youth Union said: “The DTU Youth Union has been cooperating with each department to prepare for the welcoming ceremony. We hope that the event will be a memorable one”.
DTU is planning to set its goals of 2015 by the year 2014 on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of DTU (11/11/1994 – 11/11/2014). The welcoming ceremony of K18 will be an inspiration for the entire DTU faculty members and staff to dedicate in the education of new qualified labor force for the society.
