After nearly one month of keen competition, the 2010 Football Tournament, organized by the DTU Trade Union, officially ended on November 28t, 2010, at the Tieu La Stadium.
The 2010 Football Tournament Champions
There were 142 players from 12 teams participating in the tournament, which started on November 7th. Many of the matches proved to be extremely exciting and, in the course of the 20 matches, 79 goals were scored. The finals were played on November 11th.
In the finals, the alliance of the Faculty of Business Administration, Accounting and Tourism was beaten 1-3 by the Physical Education Defense Centre. In the match for third place, the DTU Office team was crushed by the Faculty of Information Technology, with a score of 6 goals to zero.
So the champions were Physical Education Defense Centre, second place went to the Alliance of the Faculty of Business Administration, Accounting and Tourism team and the Faculty of Information Technology came third. Awards for “Best Goalkeeper” and “Top Scorer” were presented to Mr. Dam Van Thuc and Mr. Vo Van Nhan, with 8 goals, respectively.
The objective of this tournament is to celebrate the success of the DTU Trade Union Congress and to celebrate the 16th anniversary of Vietnamese Teacher's Day on November 20th. It is an opportunity to enhance mutual understanding and tighten relationships between the university faculties and administrators, as well as promoting healthy exercise for everyone.
