On October 15th. 2009, Duy Tan University handed over relief aid, including three metric tons of rice, three thousand notebooks, one thousand pens, and hundreds of items of clothing to people in Nui Thanh in Quang Nam Province and in Binh Son in Quang Ngai Province, who all suffered heavy damages during the recent Typhoon Ketsana. This aid not only contributes to helping the victims recover from the storm but also shows the responsibility of DTU’s staff, lecturers and students to the community.
The university has established a policy of postponing tuition debt repayments until four years after graduation for the students and families who experienced the greatest losses as a direct result of the typhoon.
