ADP Program students at DTU offered well-paid job before graduation

DTU held a graduation ceremony for its American Degree Program, in collaboration with Troy University. ADP graduates can now become global citizens, with degrees awarded by American universities. After four years of study in Vietnam, they are offered a variety of well-paid jobs, even before graduation.

Professor Hawkins said: “We congratulate DTU on being rated 514th among the world's leading universities by the QS Rankings. We are the very first American university to grant degrees in Vietnam and are especially proud of our partnership with DTU. Along with Alabama International University, we educate students worldwide, including the one thousand Vietnamese students already studying in Alabama.
 
Your university is committed to training students to become competitive in the international labor market. On this journey, you don’t go alone. Your lecturers, friends and family have worked hard together to help you realize your dreams and I hope you will express your gratitude to them. Meanwhile, I congratulate you on joining a community of more than 170,000 graduates from Troy University globally."

Troy University is a public institute in the state of Alabama, accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). In addition, Troy University is recognized among the best regional universities in the South by the Princeton Review magazine, ranked 44th in 2021 among all regional universities in the South, by the U.S. News & World Report.
 
This year, 25 DTU students graduated with Troy University degrees in Tourism & Hotel Management, and 11 in Computer Science, realizing their ambition of receiving an international education with optimal tuition fees. They were immediately offered employment:
 
- Tran Thanh Danh, at the Luvina Software in Danang office
- Nguyen Quang Huy, at DataHouse Asia
- Nguyen Thi Tram Anh, at Plutos
- Bui Thi Linh, at Kiawah Getaway Island
- Phung Thi Hong Nga, at the Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort
- Le Thi Hong Nguyet, at the Melia Vinpearl Hotel
- Dang Truong Ngoc Khanh, at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa
 
Quang Dai was a member of the WARRIOTS team that came first in the 2023 Innovation Tech Challenge competition, held by Samsung Vietnam in conjunction with Junior Achievement Vietnam. This was part of the 2022-2023 Samsung Innovation Campus project for the development of technological talent. Samsung Vietnam’s objective was to provide a highly creative open environment, where high-school and university students nationwide can freely demonstrate their technological knowledge and skills.

So far, many foreign students in Southeast Asia have also enrolled in the DTU ADP program to enjoy an international and modern learning environment, including:  Eliana Faith Erquiza Sebastian from the Philippines, and Aung Bo Bo, May Thingyan Woo, Nway Myet Woon and Khaing Zar Thwe, from Myanmar,

Duong Pham Khanh Vy is majoring in Tourism & Hotel Management and said: “Over the past 4 years, we have matured in looks, cognitive development, and in our attitude to our daily lives and life skills. We are immensely grateful for the excellent DTU ADP program, where individual differences are respected and open thinking is always promoted. I was taught how to differentiate between right and wrong, which is part of the journey to maturity. Selecting the DTU ADP program for my higher education was definitely my right choice and I believe that, with my experience at DTU, I will be well prepared to face all future challenges with success."

Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co said: “On behalf of DTU, I would like to send my sincere thanks to Professor Hawkins, the President of Troy University, to the DTU Board of Provosts and to my colleagues, who have made significant contributions to the success of our joint training program. And thanks to you dear parents who have entrusted DTU to educate your children here. I hope on graduation that you will all continue to try to apply the knowledge and skills you have gained at DTU, secure the best jobs and contribute to building our country."
