On November 9, the Central Region “Conquer Your Future” contest semi-finals took place at DTU. The competition was organized by the Department of Secondary Education and the Ministry of Education & Training, in collaboration with the VTV7 Department of Education and the VPP Hong Ha Company.

The objective of the “Conquer Your Future” contest is to teach middle school students how to solve real-life problems and develop communication, teamwork and self-study skills.
The three semi-finalists included the Ly Tu Trong Secondary school in Danang, the Tay Son Secondary school in Binh Dinh and the Ho Xuan Huong Secondary school in Nghe An province.
The semi-finals were comprised of 3 sections: Multiple Choice, Skills, and Rhetoric. The Skills section had 2 rounds, "Creative Greetings" and "Skills Challenge". In the Rhetoric section, three teams took turns drawing topics and had 5 minutes to prepare their presentations.

The Tay Son secondary school team scored 167 points, won a gold prize and advanced to the National Finals, while the Ly Tu Trong Secondary school team scored 159 and the Ho Xuan Huong Secondary School team scored 150, both winning silver prizes.
