The 2023 P2A Hybrid Mobility in Health Sciences Showcase Finals and Closing Ceremony

On May 17, DTU held the P2A Hybrid Mobility in Health Sciences Showcase finals and closing ceremony. From June 6 to July 11, one hundred students from eight ASEAN universities participated in a video competition entitled: “ASEAN Youth: Digital Dream Actualization”.

Dr. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provost and Director of P2A secretariat, said: “I highly appreciate the enthusiasm, creativity and efforts of all the contestants. This practical program enables ASEAN students to exchange information, share ideas and enhance their health science skills. Congratulations on your achievements, I hope that the valuable experience you have accumulated here will be useful in your future careers.
 
P2A continues to offer beneficial activities to the ASEAN community, and I’d like to thank two members of the P2A secretariat, Ms. Nguyen Lan Anh, Mr. Tran Doan Cong Thanh and the several program coordinators, who have made significant contributions to the implementation and success of the P2A Hybrid Mobility in Health Sciences program. Finally, I’d like to thank the leadership of the member universities for their continued support over the years for our P2A projects.”

During the four-week Hospitality & Tourism competition, students were divided into groups to discuss health science issues outlined in videos entitled: “ASEAN Youth: Digital Dream Actualization” and “Shortcomings of health science development in the ASEAN community.” They then discussed other topics, such as: “The advantages and disadvantages of online medical training;” “eHealth - the future trend in healthcare”; AI in healthcare”; and “Virtual reality in healthcare”.
 
The teams expertly employed the special sound, lighting, and cinematographic effects in line with the theme of the program, which were then posted on the P2A Facebook fanpage, with a total of forty thousand hits. The judges recognized the high quality of the video projects and awarded:
 
- First prize to team 8, with “ASEAN Online Medical Course - ASEAN FUTURE” 
- Second to team of 2, with “Screenlimit”
- Third to team 5, with “Promoting Holistic Health”
 
Professor Dr. Alvaro T. Dioquino Jr., Dean of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo in the Philippines, one of the judges, said: “Last year’s P2A also focused on an activity concerning the future of education, and this year’s P2A Hybrid Mobility in Health Sciences, was equally effective, especially in the discussion on how to attain the objectives of the ASEAN objectives and emphasisng that all P2A students should be teamworking with P2A, in the pursuit of excellence in their chosen fields. So, once again, thanks go to the secretariat of P2A, our officials and our students for a job well done.”
 
Huynh Ngan Ha, a DTU student and member of team 8, said: “This is a great achievement for our team after days of working together. I would like to thank P2A for allowing us to work with close friends and gain memorable experience. I hope that P2A will continue to organize more practical activities for DTU students and those of other ASEAN universities.”
