On May 19, the DTU Center for Molecular Biology held a graduation thesis defense session for Biotechnology course students. Students carried out their research using the latest precise and most reliable methods, and their work was highly appreciated.
Dr. Dinh Cong Son, Director of the DTU Center for Molecular Biology, said: “Today’s session marks a milestone for K25 students, because you will be the first DTU Biotechnology graduates ever.”

The papers were recognized for their careful preparation, presentations and student confidence in answering questions. Projects included:
- Le Nguyen Gia Thi, with “Application of ITS molecular markers to identify pathogenic fungi on Cordyceps militaris”
- Nguyen Phuoc Hien, with “Evaluation of antioxidant and antibacterial effect of Ganoderma lucidum extract”
- Cao Quang Khanh, with “Application of ITS molecular markers to identify large fungi species collected at the Son Tra nature reserve in Danang.”
Students defend their projects
The graduate defense session is a memorable event for everyone, because it assesses student ability and, at the same time, enables them to publish their first research paper and boost their confidence in preparation for future careers.
