2023 P2A Hybrid Mobility in Hospitality & Tourism Final Showcase Closing ceremony

On May 17, DTU held the P2A Hybrid Mobility in Hospitality & Tourism Final Showcase closing ceremony and participants in a video competition entitled: “ASEAN Youth: Digital Dream Actualization” received awards. The program, from April 12 to 19, attracted 100 students from eight ASEAN universities.

Professor Dr. Mo Chul Min, Chief of P2A Board of judges and Rector of the DTU School of Hospitality & Tourism  
 
Mr. Teo Sze Cheng, P2A Director for Student Exchange and Director of International Relations at Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore, said: “I’d like to thank the P2A secretariat for hosting this event in partnership with all our universities and our friends. I was impressed by your dedication and hard work and was inspired by your enthusiasm, creativity and energy in exploring the potential of digital technology in the Hospitality & Tourism sector. I believe that the program is important because it enables ASEAN students to exchange ideas and further enhance their knowledge and skills. 
 
The connections and friendships that you have made will benefit you in your future careers and I want to congratulate you all for your achievements. Keep up the good work and I hope to see you all continue to make positive contributions to the development of Hospitality & Tourism in the ASEAN region.”

The leading video projects receive awards
 
The video projects submitted portrayed the natural beauty, historical sites, cultural and artistic activities, cuisine, traditional craft villages, agricultural tourism products, tourism experience in ASEAN countries, cleverly employing special sound, lighting, and cinematographic effects in line with the theme of the program. The judges expressed their appreciation of the quality of the video projects and awarded:
 
- A first prize to group five, with “ASEAN Impressions” 
- A second to group one, with “Embrace ASEAN pride through digitalization” 
- A third to group six, with “ASEAN is home”
 
Professor Dr. Mo Chul Min said: “It was difficult for us to decide on the winners and the event demonstrated the creativity and passion of the students. I hope that P2A will continue to plan various activities like this one that promote student creativity and mobility.”
