An Agreement with the Vietnam-Cambodia Marriott Business Council

The DTU Hospitality & Tourism Institute signed an agreement with the Vietnam-Cambodia Marriott Business Council (VCMBC) to cooperate on training and professional hospitality staff development. The partnership will enable DTU students to develop practical working skills, supplement their theoretical knowledge in a professional working environment, and enhance the quality of education in the local Hospitality & Tourism industry in general.

DTU interns at the Sheraton hotel
 
Marriott International recognizes the importance to training and developing staff to meet their stringent business requirements operations and benefit the local economy. The objective of the agreement was to establish a strategic relationship between VCMBC and DTU in training and development.
 
Vietnam-Cambodia Marriott Business Council: 
 
- Enable DTU undergraduate and graduate students, including those from Hospitality & Tourism, to participate in hotel activities and internships, according to the needs and standards of each hotel,
 
- Collaborate with DTU to develop Hospitality and Tourism training courses, provide professional support to hotel interns and participate as judges in graduate thesis defense, contests and debates.
 
Duy Tan University: 
 
- Coordinate with VCMBC to arrange student visits to VCMBC hotels, provide Vietnam-Cambodia Marriott Business Council with eligible trainees, introduce qualified graduates and alumni for recruitment and arrange joint talks and seminars
