DTU Wins Third prize at the National Physics Olympiad

The 23rd National Physics Olympiad was held at the Vinh Long University of Technology from April 14 to 17. The DTU team came third overall, including five individual third prizes.

The annual competition for Physics enthusiasts is organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association and the Vietnam Physics Association. Participants this year included 216 students and 89 lecturers from 36 institutions nationwide. 
 
The competition was divided into three parts: Multiple-Choice questions, Problem Solving and Experimental, focusing on general physics and practical applications, for three days. DTU winners were:
 
-  Nguyen Quoc Anh - third prize in Multiple choice
-  Nguyen Thuy Quynh - third prize in Multiple choice
-  Nguyen Hoang Minh Tam - third prize in Multiple choice
-  Tran Nguyen Hoang Uyen - third prize in Multiple choice
-  Tran Trung Hieu - third prize in Experimental

Dr. Nguyen Phuoc The, Dean of Natural Science, said: “This year's contest was greatly improved, but required much more preparation time for competitors to do well. The DTU team’s performance was impressive however. The Olympics is a great opportunity to discover and promote talented, young Vietnamese Physicists. At the same time, they can meet and exchange ideas and experiences. The contest also includes practical study tours and research application seminars to broaden their perspective for future research projects."
