On April 8, DTU collaborated with the EduGo International Education Company, to hold a seminar entitled “Counseling Nursing students for studies and work in Germany”. Mr. Nguyen Ba Tuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EduGo; Associate Professor Nguyen Ngoc Minh, DTU Vice-Provost and Provost of DTU’s School of Medicine and Pharmacy; lecturers and students attended.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Tuong said: “This seminar is one of the activities listed in the agreement of December 2020 between DTU and EduGo, to enable Nursing students to study and work in Germany. Currently, the population of Germany is aging rapidly and there is a dire shortage of medical staff to attend to the elderly, orphans and the disabled. Germany has always welcomed foreign nurses, especially Vietnamese ones, to study and work. Thanks to our partnership, DTU Nursing graduates will have better job opportunities in Germany.”
Nursing students at the seminar
EduGo presented information and advice about the study and work environment in Germany. Graduates with nursing practice certificates and a B1 German Language certificate issued by the Goethe-Institut in Vietnam or another by the Embassy of Germany, such as TELC or OSD, will be able to participate in this program. Those who are chosen will:
- Enroll in free advanced Nursing classes in Germany, from 12 to 18 months
- Earn from 1,900 to 2,400 euros per month during the course
- Work part-time for 21 hours per week for 12 to 16 euros per hour
- Be offered insurance according to German law
- Commit to working for 5 years or more in Germany on graduation or register for an indefinite term contract
- Earn the same salary and benefits as German employees, at least 3,200 euros per month, which is equivalent to 85 million VND
- Study and work in Berlin or other big cities
Tran Vu Thanh Ha, a K24YDDD3 student, said: “The seminar was really useful for students like myself who are studying Nursing, because we all care about jobs after graduation. Thanks to EduGo, we can now better understand how to get a good job in a developed country like Germany.”
