On December 19, the DTU Institute for Hospitality & Tourism Education & Research signed a comprehensive agreement with the Hoiana Integrated Resort in Quang Nam province. Attendees included Mr. Benoit Amado, Director of the Rosewood Hotel; Dr. Lim Sang-taek, Director of the Hospitality & Tourism Institute; DTU lecturers, staff and students.

The Hoiana is set on an attractive beach just south of Hoi An and introduces visitors to the rich culture and natural beauty of Quang Nam province. Hoiana is a haven of local hospitality, world-class service and magnificent accommodations. The resort also offers an outstanding range of career opportunities, ranging from Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Accounting/Auditing to Operations.
Mr. Benoit Amado said: “I am impressed with DTU’s motto: ‘We Do Everything for Student Rights and Future Careers’ and with the university’s drive to raise the standard quality of their education and graduates. Our partnership will greatly benefit the two of us and broaden on-site training and job prospects for DTU students.”

DTU agreed to supply Hoiana with trained staff to meet their special requirements and, when qualified, they will be awarded DTU certificates recognizing the Hoiana standards. DTU will also conduct market and social research for Hoiana and transfer the technology to Hoiana for supplemental applications. The partners will jointly organize conferences, recruitment programs, professional counseling services and topical seminars on developments in the Hospitality sector. DTU will provide administrative services for human resources management, musical and other social events. DTU will invite Hoiana in the annual Job Fair and enable Hoiana to participate in student startup and consulting projects.
The Hoiana Integrated Resort will supply DTU students with recruitment opportunities for part-time, full-time or internship work programs, to improve their skills to the agreed standards. Hoiana will participate in regular student meetings, to share their experiences at seminars, workshops and conferences. Hoiana will participate in lecturing newly planned courses, give DTU priority in the Hoiana Waste Management project and provide student training onsite at Hoiana.
Hoiana will award DTU Hospitality student scholarships of $5,000 each per year to disadvantaged students and those with the highest academic results.
