Partnership Agreement with the University of Koblenz-Landau in Germany

An agreement for a cooperative DTU Master’s degree program, with a major in Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation Management, known as the ETI-M Program, was signed on November 7th with the University of Koblenz-Landau in Germany. Representatives from Germany, the Danang Department of Education & Training, the Da Nang Start-up Support and Investment Company, the DTU Board of Provosts, lecturers and students attended. 
 
The University of Koblenz-Landau is located in the city of Mainz, with eight faculties housed on two campuses with excellent study, research facilities and continuing education facilities, teaching Education, Arts and Humanities, Social Science, Science, Computer Science, in Koblenz, and Psychology in Landau.  

The university was honored as a “University of Start-Ups” by EXIST, a Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy support program. The Central Institute for Scientific Entrepreneurship & International Transfer (ZIFET) is headquartered there and coordinates entrepreneurial projects and activities in teaching and research.

Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, DTU President and Provost, and Professor Roman Heiligenthal, the President of the University of KO-LD agreed to establish a cooperative double Master’s degree program. Students with Bachelor’s degrees in the following are eligible:

- Economics and Business Administration, including Micro and Macro Economics, Management Services, Finance and Investment, Marketing and Production
- Information Systems or Business Informatics
- Computer Science, including programming and modelling and software engineering
- Private and Public Law
- Scientific Methodology, Presentation and Writing

Students must also pass an online interview with the University of KO-LD to be admitted to the program at DTU.
On successful completion of the University of KO-LD program and the DTU program, consisting of 120 ECTS credits and a thesis, graduates will receive two Master of Science degrees, one from Germany and one from DTU.

Professor Heiligenthal said: “Nowadays, startup companies play an important role in accelerating socio-economic development. We provide our students with the state-of-the-art learning environment to support entrepreneurial projects and develop innovative business models. A successful startup project requires clear objectives, an efficient strategy and sustained hard-work. I hope that our new partnership will enable more young Vietnamese to succeed in their startup projects.”
 
The partnership was founded on the condition of equivalent standards between the two programs and a mutual trust in the academic quality of the host university's curriculum. Both partners agreed to accept each other’s student examination results.
