“Code for a Better Life” Seminar

On June 2nd, the DTU Faculty of Information Technology and SIOUX Vietnam held a seminar entitled “Code for a Better Life”. Mr. Nguyen Huy, General Director of SIOUX Vietnam, Mr. Truong Tien Vu, Dean of the IT Faculty, DTU lecturers and staff attended. 
 
 
Mr. Nguyen Huy talks about internships and job opportunities at SIOUX Vietnam
 
The SIOUX Group, based in the Netherlands, is an innovative technology partner which supports leading high technology companies in product development and manufacturing. With 450 dedicated engineers, SIOUX supports and acts as the Research and Development department for customers all over the world, in the fields of technical software engineering, mechatronics, electronics, industrial mathematics and remote solutions.

Mr. Nguyen Huy said, “Nine months ago, we accepted Pham Viet Ky, a student of K18 CMU, for an internship at SIOUX Vietnam. With his solid specialized knowledge, creative passion, and fluent English, Ky won our hearts and became a full-time employee after completing his internship. I want to stress that SIOUX Vietnam always welcomes young talent, and in particular DTU’s outstanding Information Technology students, to join our company, and, together with our staff, to innovate and create more modern technologies, contributing to making our world even more beautiful.” 

Mr. Nguyen Huy talked about the attractive internship and job opportunities at SIOUX Vietnam. He explained the part that computer coding plays to improve our lives today. Coding does not only mean programming, it is a tool which supports most sectors of our society, including health care and education.

Le Viet Trieu of K21 UIU said: “The Seminar helped me learn more about technology development and its influence on our daily lives. Thanks to the tree chart of Soft skills, Hard skills and Growth presented at the seminar, I can now develop a study plan for myself and understand how to become a professional programmer after I graduate.”

The DTU Faculty of Information Technology frequently holds interesting activities like this one and has broadened opportunities for students to meet with business, understand practical company requirements and prepare themselves with a good foundation for their future careers.
