The DTU Board of Provosts awarded Certificates of Merit and prizes to the 34 valedictorian graduates

According to the summary by Dr Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice-Provost, 64 Masters and 1,258 Architects, Engineers, and Bachelors (academic, associate, and professional) were graduated at the end of this year 2015-2016. Among this year’s 1,322 graduates, 92 obtained highest honors, which make up 6.9% of the total. Congratulating the new graduates on their achievements, Dr Vo Thanh Hai also affirmed that DTU always watches every step of each of its students, and that the success of each student makes the university’s joy, happiness, and success in “cultivating the people”.

“DTU is currently one of the leading non-public universities and, to realize this, the university chose a different orientation,” Dr. Phung Tan Viet, Deputy Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee, explained, looking back on 21 years of development and on the achievements of DTU’s students and lecturers. “This difference shows in the orientation of its apt development strategy; its multi-level, multi-disciplinary, multi-system educational scope and its education linked with practical reality to meet social needs; and its suitable investments in its own development. Many DTU graduates find stable employment and take up important positions in businesses and in state administrative agencies. This to a certain degree confirms the educational quality and the university brand of DTU.”

With a mix of joy and excitement at receiving their diplomas, the new graduates were overpowered by emotion when they had to say goodbye to their class, their teachers, and their peers after so many years together. “Four years at DTU have given me many beautiful memories and a solid baggage of knowledge and skills,” said graduate Nguyen Thi Hai Yen (class K18 in Business Accounting). “I want to take the opportunity to thank the DTU lecturers that have always enthusiastically taught and guided me, given me heartfelt advice, and helped me orient myself towards the future and confidently step into the reality of a career. The journey ahead promises to present many difficulties and challenges, but I believe that, with the spirit and intellect of a DTU student, I will be able to overcome them all to make my dreams come true.”

At the Graduation Ceremony, DTU awarded many certificates of merit and prizes to those staff members, lecturers, and students that obtained high contest prizes in 2015-2016. In addition, the 34 valedictorians of the different majors were honored with a certificate of merit and a prize from the Board of Provosts.
