The Commemoration of the 71st Anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army

On December 21st DTU met to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, founded on December 22, 1944, and the 26th anniversary of National Defense Day, which started on December 22, 1989. Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, DTU President and Provost and army veterans, who are now DTU staff, lecturers or students attended the meeting.

At the warm and friendly meeting, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice-Provost, wished everyone a happy day according to the traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army. He said: ”This is an occasion for us to remember the glorious example set by our soldiers and citizens in two wars. We express our gratitude to the army veterans for their brave sacrifice for the independence and freedom of our Fatherland. I wish you the best of health and hope that you will continue to contribute to the development of DTU and our community.” 
 
 
Army veterans who are now staff, lecturers or students

Army veterans looked back at the citizen’s proud history together. They compassionately expressed their warm feelings with happy smiles and wishes of continuing good health.

The inception and development of Duy Tan University over the years has been achieved by the dedication of Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, who fought in the war and by the significant contributions of the army veterans who are now staff and lecturers at the university. They will continue to propagate their heroic traditions for the betterment of Duy Tan University.
