The DTU 2013 Job Fair and Guide

Nineteen years after its inception, DTU has developed a strategy based on practical experience and gained significant achievements in the process. The 2013 Job Fair, which was held on June 1st, is one of DTU’s traditional annual events, in collaboration with the Central Vietnam Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper.

Attendees included Dr. Vo Thanh Hai - DTU Vice Provost, Mr. Nguyen Huu Phu - DTU Vice Provost, Mrs. Vo Thi Kim Ngan - Chief representative of the Central Vietnam Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Trinh - Director of the CleverAds Company, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hien - Human Resources Manager of the Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Mr. Le Van Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Young People’s Business Association and Director of Seatech Company, Mr. Markus Baur - CEO of Axon Active Vietnam, together with a large number of DTU lecturers and staff, representatives of 37 companies, press agencies and over a thousand DTU students.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Phu said: “The 2013 Job Fair is a working event where local businesses and DTU students get together with students to bridge their education with career opportunities. Hopefully the 37 companies taking part will recruit some talented graduates and they will find suitable jobs on this occasion".
 
An exchange “Companies and Students” was also held at the event. Company representatives shared their special experiences with students about job-hunting and the essential skills required to succeed in job interviews.
 
Trinh Thi Phuong of B17KDN2 said: “As a final year student, I am interested in career opportunities today. I have been provided with the necessary information to select a suitable position".
 
As well as DTU students, the 2013 Job Fair attracted students from other universities in Danang. “Though I am a third-year student, I am eager to be here today. This is a very practical way for us to learn new skills and look for job opportunities to prepare myself for the recruiting process”, said Tran Tien of K16TPM.
 
At the Job Fair, DTU signed a collaboration agreement with Sunrise Hoi An Resort to provide highly-qualified Tourism and Hospitality staff. Mr. Markus Baur - CEO of Axon Active Vietnam presented certificates to 19 the DTU students who participated in the Scrum development training course and achieved the highest results.
