National Nursing Seminar at DTU Campus

Mr. Pham Duc Muc said: “Over the last 20 years there have been some remarkable advances in the field of Nursing. We have seen lots of fundamental changes and new government policies which have contributed to the development of nursing services”.
The two main topics at the seminar were standards of patient care and the ethics of Nursing. “Currently Health Care, Medicine and Nursing are all covered by the same regulations. It would be a major breakthrough if we could develop new regulations for nursing services only”, he said.

Dr. Dao Van Dung added “Nurses play a major role in the success of heath care services. It is vital to publish more articles to tell people about the nursing profession. More attention should be paid to the education and training of nurses at universities and colleges in Vietnam”.
On behalf of DTU Board of Rectors, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh said: “DTU is one the very few Vietnamese universities to offer a degree in Nursing. Currently, we have 300 students enrolled in nursing courses. We hope to educate more highly skilled nurses to meet future requirements”.
The day after the seminar, delegates visited several local Danang hospitals.
