Opening the meeting, Distinguished Teacher Mr. Le Cong Co stated: “I am so happy to see all of you here. As you may know, the longer we live the less time we have left, so we all should enjoy these meetings. They should remind us of what we have done and what we have not done, so that we can try harder and harder to brighten our future”.
“This is such an important and touching meeting. The active contribution of the Liaison Board of formers teachers and students of the Tran Quy Cap High School has created close ties between generations. Hopefully, the Liaison board will function even better in the future”, said Mr. Thai Van Thanh.
In the new school year 2013-2014, the Tran Quy Cap High School will be renamed to the Tran Quy Cap High School for the Gifted. This is the result of the sustained efforts of all the teachers and students over the years.
On behalf of the former teachers, Distinguished Teacher Mr. Le Cong Co donated 5 million VND to the fund for building a reference bookcase at the Tran Quy Cap High School. The Liaison Board is also planning to grant more scholarships to students with strong academic results.
