On December 29, the DTU School of Foreign Languages & Social Humanities held a welcoming ceremony for the incoming K29 students, marking the first step on a long learning journey. The finals of 2023 LHSS'S Got Talent contest also took place at the same time.

Attendees also included Ms. Doan Thi Nga, CEO of the IRIS English Center; Ms. Nguyen Thi M? Hanh, Dien Bien Phu Branch Director of IRIS; Choreographer Ms. Hoang Yen; singer and musician Tuan Phuong; Ms. Vo Thuong, ranked in the top 15 at the 2022 Miss Grand Vietnam and in the top 20 in the 2022 Miss Word Vietnam contests; and lecturers, staff and students from the DTU School of Foreign Languages & Social Humanities.
Dr. HoangThi Huong said: “This is an ideal opportunity for students to participate in cultural exchange, develop their soft skills, and augment their self-confidence and creativity. I would like to welcome the new K29 students to the DTU School of Foreign Languages & Social Humanities, and invite you study with us in the years ahead."
The IRIS English Center representative awards scholarships to DTU students
The IRIS English Center awarded 10 scholarships to the top students from needy families, and 5m VND to sponsor the event.
Dr. HoangThi Huong awards First Prize to Huynh Do Manh Quoc from K29 VTD2
In the finals of the 2023 LHSS'S Got Talent contest, winning performances received the following prizes:
- A First to Huynh Do Manh Quoc, from K29 VTD2
- Two Seconds to: Huynh Ngoc Hoang, from K29 VTD4
- Three Thirds to class VTD7-8; and to Quang Phat and Thanh Truc from VTD11-12
- Four Consolation prizes; to the HADU team; to Nguyen Thi My Linh, from K27 NTB1; to the Xuan team; and to Nguyen Hoang, from K29 NTT3
- Five Promising prizes to Nguyen Ho Chanh Hung, from K28 VTD2; Le Thi Tu Trinh, from K28 NNT; Tran Thi Tra My, from K29 NAB4; Nguyen Cong Sanh Loc, from K28 VTD2; the VTD11-12 team; Ho Anh Tin, from K29 LTH1; Le Van Nam, from K27 VTD2; and Phan Thanh Truc, from the VTD6 and VTD11 teams.
