On July 21, DTU signed an agreement with PetroVietnam University (PVU) to strengthen training and scientific research to provide society with highly-qualified graduates. Dr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh, PVU Provost, Dr. Le Quoc Phong, Head of the PVU Training Department, Mr. Nguyen Thai Dat, Head of the PVU Administration Department, Mr. Chau Khieu Minh, Director of the PVU Advanced Training Center, Dr. Truong Thanh Tu, Deputy of the Department of PR and Science & Technology, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Provost, Dr. Tran Nhat Tan, DTU Vice-Provost, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Dac Binh, Provost of the DTU School of Technology, Dr. Truong Tien Vu, Head of the DTU Department of Science & Technology, and DTU lecturers attended.
The signing ceremony
DTU and PVU agreed to collaborate in Training, Scientific Research, Educational Quality Inspection, Startup, Technology Transfer, and Creativity and Innovation to promote the development of both DTU and PVU.
The objectives are:
- to contribute to promoting the implementation of DTU and PVU’s missions and development strategies to enhance the positions of both universities and produce highly-qualified graduates to contribute to socio-economic development,
- to cooperate comprehensively in all activities, but focus on training, science and technology, education quality inspection, startup, creativity and innovation and technology transfer.

Dr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh said: “Thank you Dr. Le Nguyen Bao and the other lecturers for attending today’s ceremony and congratulations to DTU for your recent impressive achievements. We decided to cooperate with DTU so that the two universities would exchange experience with each other. We are looking forward to the very support from DTU lecturers in the training, research, lecturer and student exchanging, and management model.”
PetroVietnam University, funded by Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, offers 3 disciplines, which are Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, and Geoengineering. PVU specializes in training high-quality human resources, combining training with scientific research, production, and business practices in order to contribute to the sustainable development of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and the country, taking up social responsibilities and performing community service.
