Collaboration

An Agreement with Jember University

To expand iternational collaboration to improve the quality of education, DTU signed an agreement with Jember University, Indonesia on June 20. Leaders of Jember University, the DTU Hospitality and Tourism Institute, and the DTU Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities attended.

Located in the province of East Java, Jember University is under the management of the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. Established in 1964, Universitas Jember has over 10 faculties with many different majors such as: Economics, Agriculture, Pedagogy, Agricultural Technology, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and Political and Social Studies. Every year, the University of Jember welcomes a large number of international students from many countries, including Vietnam.
 
Vietnam and Indonesia have had a strategic partnership for many years in many fields - Economy, Trade, Science and Technology, Culture and Education. Therefore, the leadership of Jember University wishes to expand collaboration with Vietnamese universities, including DTU, in order to create more opportunities for students, lecturers and researchers of the two universities.

According to the agreement, DTU and Jember University will join hands to 
 
- publish research papers; 
- exchange lecturers and students; 
- organize international conferences/workshops; 
- share academic documents. 
 
In addition, DTU will invite Jember University to participate in the Asia University Program (AUP) and the Passage to ASEAN (P2A) and send students to Jember University for practical training, etc.
