On July 19th the DTU College of Medicine & Pharmacy held the university-level Youth Science & Technology Conference for Medicine. Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Ngoc Minh, DTU Vice-Provost and College of Medicine & Pharmacy Provost; leaders of the DTU Science and Technology department; and lecturers, staff and students of the College of Medicine & Pharmacy attended.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Ngoc Minh said: “The conference is a forum for DTU lecturers, staff and students of the College of Medicine and Pharmacy to present their research projects. Also, this is an opportunity for them to exchange knowledge and experience in scientific research. The organizers will select outstanding projects for presentation at the 21st Youth Science & Technology Conference for Medicine to be held at the Hanoi Medical University from November 2nd to 4th.”
The seven papers selected for presentation were in various fields and were highly appreciated for their practicality. Four of the seven were presented in English.

The five projects of highest practical value were selected for presentation at the 21st Youth Science & Technology Conference for Medicine to be held at the Hanoi Medical University in November:
- “Research using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to investigate risk factors affecting cognitive impairment, depression, and fatigue after stroke” by MD MSc Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao,
- “Current status of and health care demand for telemedicine services of patients with chronic diseases in Central Vietnam” by MD Nguyen Dac Quynh Anh,
- “Evaluation of daily activities and related factors in traumatic brain injury patients in Vietnam in 2020” by MSc Vu Gia Linh,
- “Application of Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) to support diagnosis of schizophrenia in Vietnam” by MSc Nguyen Tat Cuong, and
- “Evaluation of blood lipid-lowering, anticoagulant, and preclinical toxicity effects of drops pellets containing Vietnamese red sage or pseudoginseng” by MSc Hoang Thi Kim Quy.
