On October 4, DTU held a ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new Faculty of Economics & Finance, which is part of the DTU School of Economics. Hero of Labor and Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, DTU President, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice Provost, Associate Pro Phan Thanh Hai, Dean of the School of Economics, Ms. Hoang Thi Xinh, Deputy-Head of Human Resources and staff of the School of Economics attended.

Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co affirmed the importance of restructuring the university into an organization where personnel plays the most key role. The founding of the Economics & Finance faculty optimizes management skills, improves staff and education quality and increases DTU’s national and global rankings.
Ms. Hoang Thi Xinh, Deputy-Head of Human Resources officially announced the establishment of the faculty, Associate Professor Phan Thanh Hai was reappointed Rector of the DTU School of Economics and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh was appointed Acting-Dean of the Faculty of Economics & Finance.
On behalf of the DTU School of Economics, Associate Professor Phan Thanh Hai thanked the DTU Board and committed to enhancing the quality of education and curricula, developing her team and strengthening collaboration with other institutions to improve DTU’s rankings.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, the newly- appointed Acting-Dean of the Faculty of Economics & Finance, also committed to making every effort to complete the assigned tasks and contribute to the development of the School of Economics and DTU as a whole.
On behalf of the DTU Board of Provosts, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai congratulated the School of Economics on the achievements they have recently made and hoped that the reorganization will create a more effective training and research strategy this year and in the near future.
After a promising start, DTU plans to graduate many more dynamic and qualified workers into the workplace as soon as possible.
