DTU Business Administration, Accounting & Banking students are Creative and Entrepreneurial

Despite the pandemic, DTU is still able to schedule uninterrupted classes, examinations and graduation activities for 20,000 students, because of the university’s prior investment in online education. Meanwhile the university has upgraded its IT infrastructure to support online teaching, with expanded broadband internet, audio recording and high-resolution cameras in all classrooms. Faculty of Economics staff have documented detailed instructions for everyone on the use of Sakai combined with Zoom, to manage class enrollment, schedule lessons, create question banks and run exams on the MyDTU network.

New online lecturing methods have been applied to streamline interaction between lecturers and students, using enhanced video, online chat, group sharing and increased email discussion. Lecturers can also review recordings of their classes and presentations for later self-study at home.

In addition to Zoom, Sakai and Google Classroom applications, lecturers have also taken advantage of selected software specializing in business administration, finance, banking, logistics, supply chain management and digital business and accounting operations, such as SPSS and AMOS for data analysis and the ERP Simulation Game, which includes resource planning, production, marketing, finance, HR, and accounting management training modules. HTKK software is used for tax preparation, Fast Software for accounting and the ECUS-AUDIT software for data auditing.
