DTU opened the 13th annual DTU mini-football tournament on December 5 at DTU Stadium to promote health and physical exercise among lecturers and staff. Attendees included Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thanh Hai, Provost of the DTU Economic School; Master Nguyen Thanh Duong, Head of the DTU Board of Trustees Office and Chairperson of the DTU Labor Union; Le Cong Kinh, Vice-Chairman of the DTU Labor Union: members of the ten football teams; and spectators.

The mini-football tournament is an annual activity at DTU. This year, the tournament drew the participation of 120 players, who are staff and lecturers of DTU faculties and departments. To impress the spectators, the football teams practiced hard for many days before the tournament.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duong said: “The mini-football tournament is not just a platform for DTU lecturers and staff to exercise to stay healthy, but it also brings them an opportunity to meet and exchange information to understand each other. Hopefully, this year the teams will compete fairly, do their best, and receive a huge ovation from the spectators.”

In the two first dramatic matches, one between the Office of Facilities and Engineering and the Office Division and one between LAB and the Alliance of the Inspection Office, the Faculty of Information Technology and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the teams played professionally, entertained the spectators with accurate shots and terrific passing skills, and thrilled them with consecutive dramatic scores.
The fixture lists of the matches in Divisions A and B were compiled. The excellent teams will enter the semi-finals and the finals, and the 13th annual DTU mini-football tournament will end on December 27.
