On August 26, the DTU Youth Union partnered with the Danang Hospital to hold a blood donation day at the DTU campus in the Hoa Khanh Nam ward of the Lien Chieu district of Danang. This was the third time the DTU community has given blood in 2019.
Le Thi Cam Tien, a student of T22YBHA2, said: “Though I feel a little nervous, I still want to give blood because I realize that donating it is healthy for both providers and recipients. I’m very happy to help people in need.”
Pham Tien Vuong, a student of K22TP16, said: “Before giving blood, I will be required to undergo a test. This free check-up will help me detect any diseases. I will tell my friends about the importance of giving blood and encourage them to join me in saving lives.”
With the motto “Don’t just take, give!”, the DTU Youth Union has held many well-attended blood donation days and has become one of the leading volunteer organizations. At this event, 200 units was collected, which will be transferred to a patient blood bank.
