June is “Action Month for Children”, when a series of charitable activities are held to help young hospital patients and children from families in difficulty all over the country. On June 1, the DTU Faculty of Medicine social work team participated by arranging their own “Together with children with cancer” program, which brought happiness to patients at the Danang Oncology Hospital.
“The theme was “Children’s Day for you”, and is part of the faculty’s “Information portal on childhood cancer” project. The objective is to interact with the community, ease the pain and bring the suffering children some joy.”
The event created a cheerful and warm atmosphere, with bright-eyed children laughing with happiness and forgetting their pain for a while. They immersed themselves in interesting, fun activities for prizes, including solving riddles, bowling, playing basketball, guessing the names of objects and singing, with candy and nice presents. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Ly, Ms. Tran Chau My Thanh, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha and several volunteers went to rooms to visit children who were unable to move and a party was held for those with birthdays in the second quarter of 2019.
