On May 6, DTU held a Cultural Exchange program with Mariano Marcos State University in the Philippines, to gain a clearer insight into the culture and people of the two countries.
MSc Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provost, speaks at the event
The students got to know each other though lively musical performances and took turns to give overviews about their countries and cultures, covering places to visit, traditional costume, local cuisine and tourist attractions. They discussed study experiences, tips on how to win international scholarships, how to conduct themselves at job interviews and so on. DTU alumni related stories about internships and careers at large hotels to prepare students for their future careers.
MSc Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provost, said: “Today’s exchange gave our students an opportunity to make new friends and learn more about our two cultures, education and people. It also enabled students to share useful information about their education, the skills required in their future jobs, exchange study experience, ways of winning international scholarships and improving their professional qualifications.”
